How to polish the black trunk panel.
Any G5 owners will know, how faded the black panels on the trunk lids can get. I figured out a way, by accident, how to bring it back to life!
Pick up a bottle of Meguair's Scratch-X 2.0.
Make sure the panel is clean.
Apply some Scratch-X to an applicator pad, and thoroughly work it in.
Rub off with a micro fiber towel. Takes a bit of rubbing to get it all off.
Also works well on the clear lens portion where the reverse lights are.
Repeat as many times as you see fit.
Good luck! Hope it works as well for you as it did for me!

How does it work on the headlights? Mine are a little faded, and I was thinking of getting that Meguiar's Plast-X or whatever they call it, for my head lights. But if Scratch-X works just as well, I'll use that!

I don't have many yet. I have only owned this car for a few weeks. Here is my photo album: LINKY
I used the Meguiar's Headlight Restoration Kit to cleanup one headlight. Worked pretty well. I was tempted to do the rear panel with it since I have a lot left over. Your method looks better for getting around the emblems though. Stiil, I may use the headlight kit to do the clear portion since I liked the results from the headlight.
