ended up ordering the W-body ones from GMparts, the front and rear STB are exactly the same, and I also ordered the Don Rome brackets so I don't have to drill holes.

Finally got the Strut Tower Braces and the Donald Rome Brackets. Got it all installed the other day, finally took some cruddy pictures with my phone. The front went in just fine, had to snap off two bolts, and relocate the wires and hoses. The back was a little tricky, but got it all in, and cut the liner so that the bar looks stock.

I'll be doing this soon myself. Will update when installed and give my impressions.

Received the brackets from Don Rome. Install with an open ended 5/8 wrench was a little tedious, but then I recalled my daughter and son-in-law had bought me a nifty Craftsman open holed type rachet. This made install MUCH easier.

Oh, I got the bar from the local Chevy dealership, for like 35 dollars. It must be old stock, cause the sticker on the bar literally required acetone and a razor to get the sticker off of it..

After driving the car for a couple of weeks now, can't honestly say I can notice a difference. Just one of those mods that makes me feel better.

Bought a pair at JEGS for $31.99. They have free shipping on everything right now. Still cheaper to buy 2 than 1.

Hi guys,
I got pair of strut braces for my 2004 Monte Carlo.
Is it possible to install rear brace with stock bolt and nuts provided with the kit?
I am changing struts as well, so I will have access to drill holes.
I am overseas, so it is hard for me to order additional parts.
Thanks,
Ivo

Hopefully the ones that came with the kit are about 1/4" longer than the stock strut bolts.

What are you drilling holes for? Do not the brace holes align with the strut bolt positions?

The car does not currently have any strut tower braces.

I watched this video for front bar:
It is clear what to do :-)

I got these bolts with the kit, shown on the picture.

So in any case, I need to fabricate some brackets for the rear?

Thanks,
Ivo

Yesterday i took the kit out to measure things...
Unfortunately, I must fabricate rear brackets, and they should be a bit special.
I have LPG tank in the trunk located between strut towers, so there is clearance issue :-(

I am thinking to make something similar to BMR Fabrication Strut Tower Braces, with mounting point for the brace about 1" up.

Will putting the brace up lower the effect of it? What do you think?
Thanks,
Ivo
