No ruffled feathers from me. I'm just pointing out, I used to clean the threads of those bolts, put never seize on them and tighten them crazy tight. After the third time I had one on a 3rd vehicle go MIA, I found that problem with many other cars using that caliper design and the feedback was all the same. I then looked in the shop book to find that GM recommends a thread locker. All that being said, I now do that. Brakes are very important and having a caliper swing into your wheel can cause tons of issues. 1-2 drops of the stuff is all it takes.
