Matt... thanks for the write up... now I'll know where to look to unscrew mine, because my power mirror doesn't work on the driver's side, i'm hoping it's just unplugged!

Most cutting accidents come from trying to cut too much in one pass or using a dull tool. I try to use a snap back razor knife like wall paper hangers use or an exacto knife. Better luck in the future.

Very nice article! Been wanting to upgrade the door speakers on my Z. Have you figured out a way to make the panel stay in place on the top back? I had to resort to putting a Black screw on the top back on both doors to fix them for good.

On the top rear of the door by the glass(Like where the lock would be located on a old 60s-70s car) That area, both 5 Gen Montes I have owned, the door panel comes loose there, kinda just pops out. Its just a press fit from the factory (no Clip) from what i noticed, but i used black interior screws right there on the top back with a small pilot hole drilled first and it now stays in place. Thanks for your great how to, and the pics are A+.
