I believe this isntall is for the aftermarket projector headlights. Its not a difficult job but on my headlights it says the bulb size right on the front of the headlight housing! how simple is that!!!! Yet i suffer for not paying attention to detail and had first ordered the wrong HID bulb size so i had to return them, pay a restocking fee and get the right size to realize a few hundred miles later that the damn bulb size is engraved in the headlight housing..... geez

Question, the bulb sizes.... are they universal? ex. a chevy that requires H3 bulbs would usethe exact same H3 bulbs that a nissan would use?

An H3 for a chevy is the same as an H3 for a Nissan, lol.

Yes the projectors do use H3 type bulbs..That being said, light output is PATHETIC. H3 is a really small fog light type bulb...Hell, the newer montes dont even use them as fog light bulbs, they use H11s.

Actually, if you want to get real technical about the projectors they actually take H3C. This is even smaller. And H3 will fit and be slightly brighter, but you will have a stupid looking light pattern.

My Projectors recently just **** the bed, after about a year of use. The lens and casing kept separating no matter what i did, and eventually the aiming wheel stopped working. So I went back to the stock headlights, Got some H11 Hid Bulbs, and am alot happier then I was with the projectors. Aimed conservatively low to prevent blinding other drivers, the light output is still alot better.
