Default 2000 Monte Carlo Amp Bypass

If your amp is going bad in your car, take both clips on the am, and cut all the wires. Leave some left if you ever feel like going back to a stock amped system.

These will be hanging and free, tape them so nothing touches
Black
Purple
Thin white
Orange

Here are the connections you need to make *note this is a 2000, I have no idea on 2001 and up* Also there are 3 tan ones, so take your time and test each one out to make sure its the right one, dont go clamping right away.

I think my stock system sounds louder without the amp and works great. I have no idea on long term effects but for now I love it.

Anyone know if this will work on an 01'? Buddy of mine crossed a couple of wires when hooking up my subs to the stock radio and fried the stock amp. Let me know please?

Should work on a 01. I sat in the trunk and messed with them for about an hour and kept chaging the fade an balance to get the right ones.

Thanks. I do believe I'm going to try it today. Wired up some neon's yesterday so that's on the agenda for today.

Edit: It worked! Thank you very much. Months of riding around with no music was horrifying!!

Glad I could help, and the no music thing sucks. Trust me I did, then fixed it, then xm went out.
