Default ZZP underdrive alternator pulley

Has any else installed a ZZP underdrive alternator pulley? I put mine on today and am a little nervous about how little I was able to thread the nut back on: only halfway - maybe 3 threads. I couldn't even use a lock washer like the OE pulley. It seems pretty tight and the rotation should only tighten the nut more, but I'd like to confirm this is normal. Looks like this:

Yeah, I don't like the looks of that overhang from the incomplete tightening.

You need to beat the pulley on farther.

Is that on facing the right way?

I thought the ZZP UnderDrive lettering was on the outside so you can see it when it's on there?

there actually is no lettering, but I saw that too (and was disappointed). The pulley, where it bolts, is just over 1/2" thick. The OE one is under 1/4"

I have the one with lettering, and the lettering is facing the alternator, so you can't see it.

If these 2 have ones with lettering, and you don't and it's too thick, perhaps they didn't send you the right thing??

That's kinda what I thinking: that it is somehow an unfinished product and the center needs to be machined out more. When I first got it I was kinda disapppointed that it had no lettering, but then figured they just dropped the process since (I realized after getting the pulley) the lettering would face inward and nobody would ever see it.

I was really hoping I could find at least one person who had ordered this, installed it, noticed the same thing and found that it didn't matter. I was hoping someone would say that their's looked like that and that they have had it for years with no problems.

I've contact ZZP tech support and they said I can send it back. I will.
