No you said 30 to 40 HP gain from going too sc with a 4.2 pulley from stock na 3800. I was kinda wonder what the gain would be going from a 4.2 stock injectors to a 3.8 pulley and #33 injectors. Cause if it really isn't that big of a difference I'll save the extra cash and not go with the stage 2

i did the stage 2 and im very pleased with it, i thought it was worth it in the end, assuming more work will be done. there is a noticeable price difference and i see where you are coming from. but do it once right. and keep in mind you will eventually have to upgrade other things, most will be cheap. for instance, you will see the increase in kr. if you have a gauge for that or not i recommend the aeroforce from zzp. i did the header job, also felt an immediate difference the car will feel like its not your car if you no what i mean, just get ready for more upgrades lol you will probably want better braking($200-$$$$) and a better suspension like sway bar and link upgrades (i got the front and rear gmpp swar bar and link sets off a chevy ebay store( about 120 all together, i think it was $80 less than zzp's price ...you are putting a lot more power in her it will only make sense to do so in future. Good luck have fun

Headers should be a requirement with any topswap/zzp. Ssm90 kit.

I've emailed and talked Steve at zzp a few times, and he said everything would be good with either headers or just an down pipe, and running at least 91 octane that there would be no knock with either stages of the ssm90 kit

Will that kit give me that nice sounding supercharger whine noise, and be noticeable too hear?

You'll need a cold air intake with a cone shaped air filter to get the whine.

Yeah depending on the intake. Get one with a proper heat shield not like the KnN one
