I assume you're going from N/A to supercharged...if so start saving for a transmission now.

I dont know why people always bash the NA trans. the internals are the same the only diff is well... the Diff. and the failures in the trans are never from the Diff. actually the shorter gear ratio in the NA trans reduces the amount of stress on the internals anyway.

Depending on the year the 4th gear clutch is awful and usually goes first.

I would recommend leaving the cluster as is and getting a boost gauge preferably the aero forced scan gauge
going from stock to three inch dp u don't have to change the rest.of the pipes should bult right up to ur 2.5
as far as mufflers flow master will give u tons of drone I would recommend magna flow

It might sound stupid but what is KR? And is it a real bad thing? Like will it hurt the motor?

I'm only asking because I'm looking at doing the top swap as well.

Prior to '03 the 4th gear clutch hub splines sheared off the shaft because of their soft composition. In '03 they began heat treating the shaft so the splines wouldn't deteriorate so easily.

I trapped 111 MPH in the 1/4 mile (that's 330-340ish wheel horsepower) with my boosted L36, stock non-HD trans '03 Monte Carlo and never had a trans problem. Your results may vary.

KR is 'knock retard', it's the engine's management computer pulling ignition timing to keep the engine from failing when detonation occurs. Google 'ignition timing', 'spark knock', 'engine detonation', and finally 'knock retard' if this sounds like Chinese to you.
