So i was driving hom from work on monday and i bet you can guess what happened from the title. Yep Cracked Fly wheel. So it is going to be 900 bucks to fix. I have no idea how this happened but it did. What can you do.

The monte is going to be out of comission for 5 days. And i am going to be even more of a broke college student.

 

Flexplate, not flywheel- flywheels are for manual transmissions :p


Oh, and doesn't $900 sound a bit steep? Another used flex is only like $20. Even the billet Meziere unit is only like $300; they must be charging a lot of labor.

 

Sorry I'm late on this. $60 new. Forget used. Get the one from a Bonneville. They are stronger. Should be $500 labor. Mine was.
