if i were you ill ask bummpin on what he did to his monte's engine he fully built his engine. i believe he loves how his performes after his rebuild and trans also i believe he did a retune on his computer as well for all his bolt on's. i would go his route for a reliable hp gains as well as a exellent daily. i just wish i have bumpins fully built power train.
Also, I do do all of my own pcm tuning- since I have the tuning software, its pretty much essential when you get to the mod level I'm at (not saying I'm better than anyone, just that you get to a certain point in modding where drop in pcm tunes don't cut it anymore).
I am happy with how my setup performs, although I would never use something like that as a daily driver. With that many modified parts, you start getting to the point where the car is less reliable due to failure in the transmission, and just general problems with so many modified parts from different sources.

You want to throw a 100 shot on your stock L67 Monte? My suggestions, in order:
1. Make sure you're car is in an excellent state of mechanical tune- specifically with regards to the fuel system (think: new fuel filter).
2. Scan it for KR. If it's got KR as it sits, forget about the spray. No KR? Procede to #3.
3. Install u-bend delete or (better) 3" downpipe.
4. Install spark plugs at least one heat range colder than current- I'd recommend Autolite 103s, gapped at .040-.045 or so.
5. Install bigger fuel injectors. You'll max the stock L67 injectors out fast on a 100 shot. You'll need to tune for the big injectors (IFR table)
6. Retard full throttle ignition timing 3-4*.
7. Install a nitrous kit of your choosing, making sure the kit has a means of increasing fuel delivery while spraying- most now use the injectors, which is why you need to upgrade them.
8. Have fun blowing peoples doors off. You will have a seriously quick car.
9. Buy new transmission. LOL
