This pollé thread is a little unfair as most responses will only be from those with problems.
I`m still only at 75K (kms). The transmission seems great, but I`m cautious to seldom race it and I don`t seek tires with better traction. Traction and torque are a transmissions worst enemy. I have already done a transmission full flush w/ filter. Never had a problem though.
Mr '98 Regal GS with 245,000kms is a little different. Its still pretty good and hasn't cost me anything, but doesn't feel the same...

I had the usual problems with the 4t65e. Just got a junkyard transmission with half the miles and a 1year parts/labor warranty for $500.
After I got the junk yard model, I modified my Monte, and tune. Haven't had any issues since, there's probably 100k on the transmission right now.
I figure when I get my turbo build underway, I'll finally be on transmission number 3, but that will be built by TEP.

I cant even remember, that was a few years ago, Im gonna say 500-1k?
Also I beat the hell out of my tranny this weekend. I'm on the stock non HD diff and did a few runs/burnouts with drag radials. For a while only one wheel has been spinning which worries me.

I too am having hard shifts intermittantly from time to time...no CEL light and the dealer mechanics told me to put up with it until it becomes more constant and possibly throws a code to see which solenoid needs to be replaced.I did hear from them that it is a labor intensive repair to replace the possible solenoid in question and that this problem is a common issue with these 2002 monte carlos...The advice given to me was to get an extended warranty on the car to protect my wallet from failure!
