Who's had tranny problems on their Monte?
With the post by xxxtheshockerxx in the Off Topic section about a possible tranny problem on this '07 SS with only 38,500 miles on it, I got to wondering if tranny problems are common on our Montes and how many other MCF members have had or currently have some problems with the tranny on their Montes.
Have you ever had any problems with the tranny on your Monte? What was the problem and how much did it cost to fix it (or replace the tranny if you did that)? How many miles on your Monte when you starting experiencing the problem?

The tranny on our '02 MC SS failed at about 90K miles. It probably only died because I listened to the dealer service manager who insisted it should last 100K with the original fluid/filter.
I had the tranny rebuilt (expensive, maybe $2K if I recall). We've put about 60K miles on the rebuilt tranny. I change the fluid / filter every 30K now.

I got code P0700....
Most likely the TCC Solenoid (50ish dollar part) or the Torque converter(150 for a reman, 300+ for a good new one)..At least 800 in labor..
Only happens when in 4th and i give it a little gas, wont downshift..Im living with it for now.

before my 07 (posted new vids of what is going on) i had an 03 that needed the valve body replaced at 100k. It costed me $100.....glad i had auto4life through the dealer i bought it from cus the bill for the insurance was $1300

Im having a tcc problem. thought it was a faulty fuse.seemed it cured it for a day then started doing it again.

My problem is intermittent right now. ever once in a while she shifts hard so I'm sure i'll have to address it in he future but I'm good now

i do believe im having problems with my downshift solenoid or something. idk if thats the name of it. but if im going 25 or slower my car with shift into third and the whole car shakes and shudders back and forth until i manually make it downshift.
