burning lean means that in your air to fuel mixture, you have too much air, and not enough fuel.

as a motor gets to be older, one of the first things to go south is valve guide seals...that allows a tiny bit of oil into the combustion chambers, thus producing a bit of smoke. i would keep an eye on the oil level...if you dont already. also, have you felt any change in performance?

White smoke is generally an indicator that your burning off water somewhere in the combustion process.

I have a few ????? ..

Did this just start happening abruptly?

Is it smoking alot?

There is not much difference between a blue smoke which would be oil burn off and water which would be a little lighter.

Are you losing water from your cooling system?

If it were running too rich your smoke would be more on the black side.

Additionally, I would pull several if not all of your spark plugs for inspection.

Black/Dry: Running too rich.

Black/Wet: Burning oil

Wet/Rust: Water
