Default whats yer miles?

as you all know i got a 3400 and just wondering what should i expect to go wrong at what milage i do reegular upkeep and just wondering. what about everyone else how has everyone elses cars held up?

sorry im at 110k now. only thing to ever go wrong is this hub assembly bull

3.4L 108k...the things that will go are the intake manifold gaskets at about 60k and the trannys around 100k. Get the Dex-Cool out of there first thing and replace it with the green coolant.

3800 - 167,xxx miles

With the 3.4 you are going to start to see the gasket problem soon. There really isn't much you can do about it, but buy some books on how to fix it and start saving up

okay then but what are some signs of these? ie the trans and the intake manifold gasket. also isnt the gasket a pretty easy job or... and why switch out the dex-cool and how long will the green stuff last?

If you change your dex-cool more frequently then it says I.E. I do mine every fall instead of every 5 years 100,000 miles, you won't have a problem.

The gaskets will eat away, you will start to begin missing coolant, gets in the oil... all downhill from there.

Trans will start to shift funky when it gets warm. Driving for 30 minutes, then from stop and go it hesitates, or it holds a shift longer than usual

good words, now my question is should i bother changing it myself or pay to have it done. and do you know why it starts to eat away after it gets old??
