Default What is a PCM?

I am new to this electronics stuff...I have been reading about PCMs..most from zzp. What exactly is a pcm..what does it do and are they worth the money. I Have an 01 monte SS. Thanks for your help everyone!

So..if i were to buy one of these..what should I get..and i hear it unleashes "restricted" power..???

Also, does it ruin anyhting in the motor?

Sorry if these are dumb questions..but i am new haha.

it will change the shift points, it doesnt really release power but it will help make the car move a little quicker with the rev limiter raised and new shift points. and it wont ruin anything with the motor, you already have one, this is just tuning it a bit to your likings.

no questions are dumb, we all started somewhere.

The Milzy Motorsports Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is great for stock to mildly modded cars with induction mods and exhaust mods.
The features are:
Removal of all speed limiters
Higher shift points
Higher rev limiter
Shift firmness adjusted
Ignition timing advanced
Cooling fan control (180°)
Cooling fans on at key-off for 180 seconds
Rear O2 Bank Code Removed
Etc.

theres a list of whats included in the tune.

you should do the core charge, because he can sometimes take forever to ship out but its a good quality item overall
