Info: What is this?!?!

Default What is this?!?!

I don't have a picture up yet but can someone explain what this does,its in a 2001 monte ls right in front of the brake booster,it says ECU DF and has some vin numbers on it,had six lines in it,all was color coded,i disconnected the lines to make more room to clean the engine bay....Did I break anything?

^ thats the pcm, thats buried below the airbox, i know what he's talking about but i have no idea what it is or what it does.

EDIT: after some googling i'm thinking that it's the abs pump.

yea I found the pcm and disconnected and pulled the whole wireharness,this is located right in front of the firewall,it has 6 metal lines and they all have different colors identifying the metal lines,im pulling the motor so I didn't think it would hurt to get that out of the way for right now,and I disconnected the line to the radiator and one to the condenser im guessing? its a small metal can with a line that runs into the firewall

My guess is that your looking at the EBCM (Electronic Brake Control Module)

Yep, abs module is right by the brake booster and master cylinder. If you trace them metal lines 2 of them should go to the master cylinder and the other 4 go to the wheels
