water from tail pipe*'01 Chevy MC *LS 3.4
Hi, i'm new to the forum. for months been having trouble with overheating especially while car is in idle position. changed waterpump, temp sensor and finally today changed thermostat. immediately following t-stat installation saw a little bit of water dripping from the tail pipe and under the muffler area. puzzled because the liquid was clear in color and i don't use water in my car. but anyways does anyone know how to confirm wether or not a head job could be in the near future? Thanks in advance.

FWIW, the two byproducts of complete combustion are carbon dioxide and water.
When it's cold out, the water vapor in the exhaust can condense as it cools and drip out of the tailpipe. Generally not something to worry about, and wouldn't indicate a head gasket problem unless you're seeing a ton of smoke coming out of the tailpipe also.
