Thanks for the compliments, built it when I had way to much money to burn, built it twice actually. In reality we all have sweet rides in our own rights, and constant modifications dreams to still pursue. Love all the members here and the positive atmosphere. A Monte Carlo comraderie, help others, rib each other, lend an ear and give us all a place to feel as a family. Great forum.....

Well, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make your Monte sound less than it was.

His original post was basically just asking about a turbocharged 3.8. I simply told him it's the SAME engine (which it is, yours is just upgraded) and a turbocharger was added to it. Yes you have done A LOT. Which you should, you should always do supporting modifications. However if the OP wants a turbo'd Monte, he really only has to buy a kit and it is a reality.

To the OP, this is the kit that I am HOPEFULLY getting and putting on this year: ZZPerformance - ZZP Z3 Turbo Kit #ZZ-Z3TK

I am also going to then save up after I get that kit on and purchase a TEP built transmission: Transmissions

After the : are links. Our forum doesn't show a link as blue.

Hey bud, please no offense taken at all. Just wanted to clarify this to him. You are a real standup individual and know you have no ill intent. No sorry needed. I'm sorry to have come across this way to you. Nothing wrong at all with the bolt on kits. They are actually very well planned out, to delivery enough power and enhanced performance without really causing you to pop your motor. Wish I had really knew more about these before I went head first into my build. But I believe back in 2007 when I first turboed there was not really to many people offering kits. This is actually my 3rd turbo build on this car. 1st one was enough to leave me wanting more, then the 2nd popped and now this setup.
Take care CHIBIBLACKSHEEP.

Took almost a year to scratch our heads, build, redo and redo things, built the tranny to it's fullest potential with mods not done before. So it in all modesty screams down the road pretty well. A GT500 and I raced at the Rocky Mountain track and it was a battle. He hole shot me, then the turbo came on and I passed him, and right at the finish line he edged me by a fender. LOL it was a nice race, So no it's not even close to being a kit at all. Thanks for posting the video. I need to post more of the car, but have formatting issues. Need a different camcorder.

Well lets just say it was an insane amount of money to build the whole car. Staggering amounts in parts and labor......Sometimes I wonder if it was worth it, other times I thoroughly enjoy the car, should I have a chance to do it over I would have stopped thousands of dollars back.

That's one heck of a build there. I like the use of the old 3.8 Turbo badges. That adds a really neat touch.
