That is `if your engine is in top condition.[/align][align=center]You also have to consider a upgrade to your[/align][align=center]transmission to handle the additional power.[/align][align=center]Also the injectors, suspension, computer/exhaust,etcand [/align][align=center]many other parts should[/align][align=center]be upgraded. Please continue your research[/align][align=center]on your desire to upgrade.[/align][align=center][/align][align=center]I would prefer a factory Monte Carlo Supercharged,[/align][align=center]over a aftermaket build/up.[/align][align=center][/align][align=center]If you really love your Monte Carlo, and plan to [/align][align=center]keep it a long time, then I think that's your decision, but[/align][align=center]`if I were in your position, and wanted more[/align][align=center]power. yeah, space was righ.t. i saw at the bottom, you got to buy the fuel rails, the intake, a copule of others things i can't remember as i type this in 4th period where ZZ Performance is blocked (WHAT?!?!!?). i saw all of that this morning after i made that post and had no time to come back.. to do it right, you're looking at around $1300-1500. quite a bit of money, hopefully for 60 more hp..... nice. if you plan on keeping hte car until it dies, i'd do it. they claim it does nothing to reliability.. but remember, they are trying ot sell you a product.

To make a complete kit you will need4 items from us as well as the basic install package found on this page.


Intake manifold[/b]. Your L36 intake manifold will be replaced by our modified L67 manifold found here: http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=235 In your L36 engine the injectors fire into the intake manifold. In an L67 the injectors fire into the heads. The L36 engine in your car has different heads than a GTP which is why you need our modified intake. Add this intake to your cart choosing the drop down menu to select the SS L36 option. We recommend adding the intake gasket option unless your car is new enough to reuse the stock one. You will have to pay core charge on the intake unless you find a GTP intake and send it in first.
Fuel logs. [/b]The stock L36 fuel rails will no longer work. The L67 rail will not work either because it’s meant to locate the injectors in the heads which can’t be done on your engine. Go to our fuel log page: http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=259 and add them to your cart. Use the drop down menu to select L36 SS rails. Upgrading injectors on 00+ vehicles requires new injector retaining clips and injector connectors.
Modified M90.[/b] The Stock M90 blower housing needs to be modified in a number of places. The fuel rails now sit so close to the blower that it must be clearanced for fitment. This work is done in the CNC mill and we run the file for our blower outlet work at the same time. As part of our outlet work we move the outlet forward so our intake will be machined to accommodate this. The modified blower is more efficient than a stock blower helping to keep KR to a minimum while running boost to a higher compression engine. Order your blower here: http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=162 and use the drop down menu to select the SS L36 version. You will have to pay core charge on the supercharger unless you have an M90 to send in.[/b]
Custom pulley. [/b]The M90 in the SS kit uses the accessory belt to drive the blower. The pulley needs a custom offset to work like this. Order your pulley system here: http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=205 and choose an SS pulley for use with your kit.The stock injectors on an L36 will not support pulleys smaller than 4.2â€. The 4.2†pulley will give 4 to 5 pounds of boost depending on what other modifications have been performed on your vehicle.To use standard pulleys on the SS kit you would have to install a GTP balancer and all of the accessory pulleys from a GTP.[/ol]

yeap, thats it. all in all i think i figured it was going to be somewehre around $1300-1500

i emailed two people with that very kit. one said he wnet thru like 3 intake manifold gaskets adn a couple of other thigns that broke after installing it. somebody else said they had no problems with it. if you run the boost anymore than 6-7, you're going to kill the car. i'm not so sure about turboing a car unless your ready to spend alot of money keeping it up. maybe MonteBoosto has something to say about this, I've hoenstly never asked him about the reliability of his kit.

I'm currently in the process ofbuilding my own custom turbo kit. I estimate the cost when finished to be $1100-$1300. Not very far along yet,as I'm currently just fabricating the exhaust crossover to bolt a t3 turboexhaust flange to it. When I get her all done around spring I'll be posting a complete article under the DIY section. I don't plan to run over 6psi, because I know that my tranny will be crying over even low amounts of boost.

Keep in mind that I will be doing all of the work myself, not sending it outfor machine or weld shops to do. You guys can say what you want about my estimated price being far too low, as I really don't mind criticism... But you all shall see come spring!!

The biggest thing to keep in mind isn't the turbo or the blower, it's the Tranny. Stock BLOWN SS trannies (4T65EHD) don't like more than low 13's to high 12's, let alone the power of a turbo on a stock NON HD tranny ( IE standard 3800 )

HOWEVER, I agree with Wayne. Email ZZP, they can hook you up with almost anything you need, and have great customer service, at excellent shipping rates, and awesome experience.
