cartuning is making turbo headers designed for there kit now. i am planning on getting a set

I'm curious to know the gains of their headers vs a powerlog setup

i do not know the gains but i know the front is suppose to me like the powerlog just way bigger and the primaries are at an angle instead of straight to help flow. the back is now a header as well and i dont know all the info but im under the assumption that the wastegate sits right on the header now with a "v-band" clamp instead of having the perch....

My whole point is just that the rear manifold isn't that restrictive to begin with, and the powerlog was a great idea on the front.

I know how they are going to funnel it, just wondering if that funneling really does make a huge difference.

Not having a perch is nice though

yea im not to sure, i know on the rear manifold #6 primary caused issues but was easily fixed and other than that the rear manifold was not to restrictive. only other thing you need to consider that im assuming cartuning did is under high hp turbo builds you can crack the plog very easily (people have cracked them on somewhat mild sc builds) so im hoping cartuning solved the issue of them cracking.

I know the cracking was poor welding on the earlier models too. The newer models (i think since revision 3?) haven't had cracking.

There header setup is 600 bucks stainless steel. There kit is extreamly cheap considering it comes with a $1000 catback, 42 injectors, t stat, plugs, and full stainless piping. I would get them ceramic coated tho.

I'm very curious as to where you got this information from? I emailed them about the kit various times and have checked out the site quite a few times as well. I have yet to see somewhere that says they include the catback of your choice? How could they offer the SLP catback anyways, it was discontinued last year (Dec. '11) to my knowledge. Very few vendors that actually have any left.

Are we talking about the same cartuning kit? ===> http://cartuning.ca/special/

Am I missing something? I'm just not seeing a full catback of the buyer's choice anywhere on the site?

42 Lb Injectors
Tuned PCM (plus a core charge if you have a 2004+)
K&N Air Filter
PCV Solution
Autolite 103 Spark Plugs
Full Stainless Steel Turbo Piping (Crossover, Downpipe, Charge Pipes, etc)
Turbonetics Turbo (Full T4)
Turbonetics Evolution Wastegate
50mm Blow Off Valve
Upgraded MAF Sensor
Stainless Oil Lines & Fittings
Full Size 3.5" Thick Intercooler
Thermostat
Gaskets
Hardware Grade 8+

I'm sorry but there's just no way they could offer a full stainless catback/turbo system/and intercooled for that price. A $600-1000 catback for free basically? I really doubt that, especially since it's not listed anywhere on their site that I have found.

Oh I see lol. Regardless it's still a good deal for the price IMO.
