im not sure guys, but i need some help, but can i update my V6 3.8l motor with the turbo charger kit? or is it a whole different motor?

 

Do you have a link to the turbo kit that you're thinking of using?

IIRC, the early 80's Monte was available with a turbo 3.8L. If you're lucky enough to find one in a junk yard or something, then that might work.

 

i havent found one yet ive just thing about what can i do with the motor. i have a 1981 monte carlo

 

to my knowledge 80,81 were the years for the turbo motor in the monte.your going to have to rebuild that motor and find all the turbo parts for it. i dont think its exactly the same as the grand national motor. at that point youre probably better of finding a gn motor for it or swap to a v8.
