he sends you a tuned pcm so you dont need a hand held tuner

I am still waiting for a reply from will at overkill

Well the second gear redline is now the same as the factory tuned redline for 1st gear...so if the factory is comfortable redlining the car at 6,300 RPM in 1st, I see no reason why second should be any different. In fact, I had an Impala with the 3.5L as a rental, but it was an 09, and its factory tune had almost identical shift points as Will gives. Its as if the factory realized they were holding the car back a bit, and adjusted their tune.

Also for more assurance, my Mom has a 2000 Bonneville, with the 3.8L and the same tranny/ gear ratio as our 3.5L Monte's. The FACTORY tune on that car alows for a 4th gear down to 2nd gear down shift up to 88MPH too.

I've had the tune on my car for over 12K now with no issues. I don't beat it up everyday, but i've used the new tune plenty of times. lol Also worth noting, Will's tune raises the line pressure in the tranny and firms up the shifts, making for much less slippage on shifts, especially shifts at WOT. This is better for the tranny.

E-mailing him is the only way to contact him that I could figure out. He was generally good with responding, sometimes a day or two would go by before he responded, but he always responded.

would this be worth on a stock 3400? i'm thinking just for the tranny changes alone it would be, instead of a shift kit... what do you guys think?
