Maybe a lump like thing, kinda like the shape of the mid 90's mitsu/eagle hood:
Exactly what I was thinking too. If you're actually going to drive it, I wouldn't want water and debris being sprayed on my alternator and belt. I guess you could block it off, but IMO fake scoops are ricey.

Also, I really think those fab'd scoops are far too boxy for the smooth look of the car, maybe smoothed out a bit on a 4th gen they'd look decent, but the new montes are just too rounded and it would stick out like a sore thumb. I'd think you could make a hood bump look more factory in appearance, plus you should be able to just cut one off an eclipse and weld it in?

Honestly, the fab work is amazing.. however the scoop design is not.

I didn't have a dust free environment to paint it, so I took it to collex collision and they did a good paint job and matched the 12 year old paint job well. I lost my pin strip on my hood. (lost as in sanded and painted over) Does anyone have any suggestions for hood pin strip or just leave it plain?

i would just leave it plain. but i still think the scoops need to be rounded or have some kind of shape to not be so boxxy

I could probably live with the boxiness but just the black in them looks bad.. And since their closed makes them look funny.. I understand why they should be closed but I would have put a piece of glass their instead so you could see in, and at quick glance it would look like they are not closed.

If you keep up all of that work you might have to put in 2 crank pulleys!

I added two idler pulleys along with the extra alternators.
