7th Gen ('06-'07): Transmission problem?

Transmission problem?
I’m having problems trying to get my 06 to pull itself. It’s fine on flat and level ground and even going uphill, but if I come to a stop on an uphill incline it won’t pull itself up the hill. What could be wrong and how do I fix it? Is it something I can diy or does a shop need to do it

We'll need a lot more information to be of any help.
What does it do when it wont go uphill from a stop- free rev, rev a bit but starting missing/ stuttering, etc
Could be a trans that's slipping or low on fluid. Could be an engine issue. Any codes?

Do you have any way to read sensor data? Does the engine seem to run fine - have plenty of power, etc - the transmission just won't allow the power to be put to the ground from a hill start?
How does the fluid look / smell? When was the last time the filter was changed?
Hopefully it's not burning through the clutches.

I did a transmission fluid change at 30,000. That’s when I got the transmission. It had been sitting awhile so I went a head and changed it all out. The fluid looks and smells fine and my engine doesn’t seem to have any loss of power. I have an OBD2 Reader and I have one error code on there but it’s for my exhaust pretty much just telling me I won’t pass an emissions test, which isn’t required where I live.

That's a tough one, I've never heard of that before.
I can only think of 2 things - lack of fluid for the converter or slipping clutches (perhaps due to lack of pressurized fluid to engage them properly). Perhaps the hill is providing enough load to make an existing problem apparent.
If the filter is new and the fluid is full, I can't think of any easy DIY things to try to fix this. I don't see how you get out of either pulling the trans or taking it to a shop to diagnose further.
