Trans Rebuild
hey guys, I recently brought my car into my local GM ceritified service shop because My 2001 LS was driving a little funny. My car was giving real hard shifts and was missing gears like it was its Job. I checked my CAT because I saw that it can get clogged and that can mess with the tranny and the computer, My Cat is in great shape no issues there. So long story short with a little help from my warranty company and about a grand out of my own pocket, the shop is building me basically a new tranny from the core. Im curious if other than just fixing the diagnostic issues that they found, should I expect any noticeable differences in driveability or performance, Or even though it will be a new tranny, is this pretty standard and the car will still feel normal? I just dont quite know what a transmission re-build would include.
Hi Anthony,The Below is what they should do, and `if they doit correct, you should have agreat performing transmission.Good Luck, `Space
The Build Stage is completed by qualified technicians in our production department. All soft parts/wearable items are replaced with new commercial grade parts, and installed to OEM specifications or better.
The Test Stage is completed by our technical staff. Using state of the art equipment such as computer aided diagnostics, Dynometers (Dyno), Solenoid electronics and Valve Body hydraulics testers our tech department checks every unit for function and quality before it is shipped to our customers.

All Electrical Solenoids and Sensors are individually tested on our computerized Sol X Solenoid test machine.

All Valve Bodies are Designed, and tested on our Fully Computerized Zoom Technologies VBT 4000 Test Machine
All transmission are dyno tested on of of our 4 state of the art Dynometers to insure a perfect transmission the first time.
