Thinking about installing Turbo
I want to install a turbo kit on my car 06 SS LS4. I came across this kit and wanted to know what others thought before I bought it.

1. From what you guys see will I have to buy anything else for the kit/car?

I would stay away from that kit if I were you. It would be thousands of dollars to have that installed. WAY too much customization would be required. I would go with one of the bolt on kits if I were you.

i dont know how much fab there would really be involved. a lot of those ebay turbo kits come with these t3/4 hybrids and arent of the best quality, but have been shown to make good power. id go on ls1tech in the ls4 section and do some searching theres at least one guy who did his on turbo set up and had good results.

Look up Cartuning.ca they make a kit for your car direct bolt on. I have there kit for the 3800 and it is a nice kit.

I have their kit for the LS4, but I didn't want to seem like I'm sponsoring them. I am absolutely in love with it and I wouldn't change a thing about it.

I would stay away from any kit that is basic. Look for one that is made for your car and includes everything you need. The cartuning kit looks pretty good. I see they have one for the l67. Now I want one.

Agree with the above, I don't know why you'd waste your time trying to get some universal kit to work, when there already is a bolt on one available. Just buy the kit from cartuning.
If that's too much, wait until one comes up for sale used on the forums. If that's too much, don't bother turboing the car then, because you won't be able to afford upgrading the trans to take the power anyways.

I too was wanting to get a turbo kit for my '02 monte! Is this cartuning kit very expensive? And is installation DIY or should i bring it in to be done? Also, must u replace the radiator, condensor, or fan shroud in order to install the intercooler?

If you aren't intercooling or setting the boost high, and have basic tools you should be able to do the install yourself
