ok so i have a 2001 ls monte with the 3.4 i love it to death but it just isnt fast enough for me. i was thinking maybe a ls4 swap after reading around on the forum but was debating weather it would be worth all the effort and money. i could also get my hands on a na 3.8 from a 2001 impala off my friend if i chose that route. if i did go with that i would probably want to go with a l67 top swap plus other mods. ultimatly i would like to have it run high 11 seconds or close too. im just wondering what would be the best way to get to that point or if my hopes are to high. i know a little about these engines but i was hoping that someone here with more experience and knowledge can help me out lol. thanks guys!

 

With a supercharged 3.8 in it you could expect to run 14 second 1/4 miles.

 

Swap to a 3.8 and get a ZZP Z7 turbo.

With a good amount of suspension modifications, a race hardened transmission, a good tune, and that turbo with a few supporting mods you should be easily in the 12s.

With track prep, in the 11s
