Supercharger pulley
Hey guys. I just got my new pulley and am having trouble getting the old one off. I'm using a standard 3 jaw puller and it's not moving. Any hints or tricks or anything you guys can offer for help and maybe a different puller? Would be appreciated. And does this need to be pressed back on? Thanks guys!
You're not using the right tools. You need a pulley puller like this:
ZZPerformance - Supercharger Pulley Puller #ZZ-PPULR
That is the right tool to remove the old pulley and install the new one. As you can probably assume- if it takes so much force to remove the old one- it is a slight interference fit, so you are going to need the puller posted to get the new one back on.
This may be a silly question- but since you're having problems installing the pulley- what size is it, and are you sure you have supporting mods to run it?

This guy does know his stuff and I appreciate it! I will look into that puller. And i am running so far, a cold air , cat back exhaust and soon headers, mad wires and coils. I will also be getting a re programmed computer. Any other insite is much appreciated and thanks!

Anyways- with just a CAI and catback- you're not ready for any pulley anyways- I wouldn't even bother with a 3.5 with just those two mods.

There was a puller like that for sale here on the forum. I dont personally know the seller but maybe someone does.

Colder spark plugs (I use Autolite 104's, but before you drop the pulley you could go with Autolite 605's)
180 degree thermostat
Then drop your pulley size (always be sure to scan for KR though, detonation WILL destroy your engine)
Tuned PCM
Ok that's sounds good. What do you recommend for upgrades where I'm at right now?
