Shift Points and Rev Limiter
#9
the engine is balanced for up to 6300 rpm's in stock form, i run mine up to 6250 with my L67 with 1.8 roller rockers and stock springs, and i didn't have valve float till 6700 on my l36 with stock rockers but running past 6300 will cause accelerated bearing failure... which didn't affect mine as it hydrolocked from that POS intake manifold before the bearings got a chance to die.
in stock form the stock shift points are near perfect, but if you add an hv3 and headers and a catback, the powerband is extended beyond the stock safe area... i will say that when i had my hv3, headers, catless catback, intake, l67 tb, and my tune, the car pulled like hell up to 6600 from around 4500 rpms (like vtec, but better cuz it's not honduh haha)
