Hi, I have a 86 w/ the 305 and th200r4. What shift kits do you guys recommend? I've checked summit and jegs and I've seen only one shift kits that seems less the reputable. So I was wondering what suggestions you guys have, what you're running, and if you can post the link to the kit that'd be great, thanks.

 

First suggestion would get rid of that trans lol. 350 or 400 better idea and offer a lot more variations of shift kits

 

I'd love too. But I don't have the money, shift kit is under $500. New transmission will be thousands, and I can't afford that.

 

You could deffinetly find a good used 350 or 400 for under 500$
I would even sell you a used 350 with about 3000 miles for like 400$ but you probably aren't in Houston and shipping would be too much..
I suggest a good trip to the local junkyard or craigslist
