Default Pully size?

<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:WordDocument> <w:View>Normal</w:View> <w:Zoom>0</w:Zoom> <w:PunctuationKerning/> <w:ValidateAgainstSchemas/> <w:SaveIfXMLInvalid>false</w:SaveIfXMLInvalid> <w:IgnoreMixedContent>false</w:IgnoreMixedContent> <w:AlwaysShowPlaceholderText>false</w:AlwaysShowPlaceholderText> <w:Compatibility> <w:BreakWrappedTables/> <w:SnapToGridInCell/> <w:WrapTextWithPunct/> <w:UseAsianBreakRules/> <wontGrowAutofit/> </w:Compatibility> <w:BrowserLevel>MicrosoftInternetExplorer4</w:BrowserLevel> </w:WordDocument> </xml><![endif]--> 3800 2005 Monte S/C SS

Is a 3.0 or 3.2 pulley size reasonable for these mods:

Stage 2 intercooler - with upper & lower intake
1 ¾ TOG extreme headers with TOG downpipe; glas pack as resonator, factory mufflers;
CAI
XP Hot cam – & supporting hardware; stock heads

I’ll probably need some colder plugs, I’m sure I’ve seen them here somewhere…

You need a way to scan for KR, if you don't have KR you can drop a pulley size and tune

I'll play a bit of devil's advocate here- but if you couldn't run a 3.2" on tog extremes, an S2 IC, and an XP cam- something is really wrong with your engine.

I have a 3.0 on right now; still learning about tuning; I have noticed even the slightest amount of throttle & my boost needle jumps... With the proper tune, would a 3.6 or stock pulley provide better fuel economy than a 3.0 or 3.2

(eventually I want to have a few tunes & setups, one for the strip & one for them long road trips) :-)

Honestly this may sound contradicting but it happened to me. My fuel economy was horrible after dropping sizes on my pully because the stock injectors were working at 99% which is not good on a daily basis. So I upgraded to #60 and my fuel economy got a little better. Not as good as with sock pullry but better then the stock injectors with a smaller pulley.

Hmm, that's interesting I have the 42.5 injectors & haven't done any WOT tuning yet, but I think I'll play with maybe a 3.6 or 3.8 pulley & see wat fuel economy has to say...

If you want to limit your boost just unplug the BBV solenoid and you'll run about 4-5 PSI.
