Default Performance Chips

I'm looking for a little bit more power out of my Monte Carlo SuperSlow (SS). What are you're opinions on performance chips. I would also like to hear from people who have bought various chips and PCM's and what they thought. I also have studied some psychology and know that sometimes when you install something on your car you automatically think its going faster just because your mind wants it to. Does anybody have any numbers to prove/disprove performance chips.

plug in chips dont really do anything anymore...

a programmer would be the way to go...maybe one by superchips or some of the other guyz on here talk about another one sometimes...just wait for them to pipe up and they will say what it is lol

other than that

exhaust --- ubend delete
high flow cat
resonator delete (these 3 will help out greatly about 10 hp)

and a cold air intake...k&n makes a great one for about another 10-13 hp

is your car supercharged??

maybe so... mines the 03, no supercharger.. sadly. i wonder how much trouble it would be to make a supercharged version out of it though....

as for upgrading yours to a SC its really not that hard. zzperformance.com or wbodystore.com both sell kits to drop a SC on your NA (natrually aspirated) engine.

DHP is the companyi recomend for a tuner. also there is HPtuners both are widely used in the performance groups for these cars. sticking to what others have used will make resolving problems much easyer. i personally have a DHP programer (powertuner) and i love it.

those chips you see on ebay are junk and a true rip off. DHP and a few other manf. sell pre programed PCM's they are much cheeper then the tuners but again you get what you pay for. the tuner will give you much more power once you spend the time to learn to use it. this is again why i recomend the DHP cause they give you access to an owners only forum where you can ask questions, down load updates, and learn from others.
