performance for a 2001 3.4 carlo?
stupid question but ranging from $0-$1000, what can be done to the 3.4 that is either a bolt on or cheap to have done... i'm hoping there is somethin like a power pulley for it or a superchip or ecm flasher but i haven't found anything yet... most things are for the 3800 ss... any help?

Well I got the 3.8 but I will help you where I can...
You won't find a descent bolt on for that price. You can find the electric turbo charger, but be wary.. they are rip offs. They just flat out don't work.
There is no Cold Air intake speciifically designed for your car. You might be able to buy a larger throttle body or find a tuner for you car.
The chips don't work... that crap on eBay is just that... crap. You got to buy a tuner for the computer. I found a dyno shop that was willing to tune my car for me.
Thats as far as I can help you. Good Luck in your performance modding....

well guessing that you have a 3400 and not a 3.4 i would say a 3500 top end swap would best
you can alwayz do headers and cat back system
ecu reprogram
under drive pullys
cold air intake
swap out cam
biger T.B ( port uim to match)
nitrous

two of those he wil have a problem with.. people are always posting on this forum looking for a CAI for a 3.4, and the answer is there aren't any. none that can be trusted anyway. nobody really makes high performacne stuff like cams and headers for a 3.4 either

header are available for pace setters
and ben has all kinds of cams at the store
as for the air intake if none is available make one with 3" exhaust pipes
as for not having a aftermarket for the 660 chevy you are right there most of the stuff is custom made or made but just dont know about it that all i have been looking in to making power in the 660 for years now having a Z24 i started with a 3.1 and now i have a 3400 and soon to have a 3500 and they are not stock or cheap to do but it is possible !

well so far i have a straight through cat converter, then a 2.5" y-pipe that provides the straight pipe duals and a short ram air intake. now i wouldn't mind tryin to find an under drive pulley and the next thing i'm also thinkin about is the MAF sensor, i can go with a bigger one, it's less restrictive then the stock one. first thins is first though... i would love to find out where i could by an under drive pulley
