Default Ordered the last few mods:)

We ordered the final performance mods for Dale this week. We ordered 1.8/1.85 split ratio rockers and a 3.4 mps. We went with the split ratio rockers instead of the 1.9 modified rockers because I didn't want to have to worry about doing springs. I like to do things right and didn't have the cash for springs. If I did the 1.9's and no springs I would worry constantly about a spring breaking a dropping a valve.

At the same time I also plan on installing autolite 104's and a new fuel filter. These mods should give us a nice 300 +/- horsepower which is plenty for me.

Does anyone know of a decent yet affordable dyno in northern new england? The 2 I know of are good but one charges $500 and the other over $1000, and if I had that kind of cash (which I don't) I'd drive to zzp and have them do it, lol

Make sure your PCM isn't set to shift over 5900RPM if you aren't doing springs.

Congrats on the purchases

Thank you. I'm not sure what the shift points are, what ever the zzp 1.0 pcm brings it to. I'll have to do a few WOT runs and see what its at, before I add the rockers

Congrats! You're going to have fun once you get the rockers and pulley installed. I can't remember either what the shift points are on the ZZP PCM, but I would imagine that they wouldn't put it over 6000rpm. But like mentioned already, don't go any higher then that. Valve float is no fun.

I received the Rockers and pulley puller today. The rocker bolts and pulley should be here tomorrow and I'll install everything Friday night or Saturday.

When I drove the car today I did a few WOT runs to see the shift points and it always shifts right around or before 5900 RPMS at WOT so I'm in the clear

I just had a question, do I gap the 104's to manufacture specs or is there a preferred gap for cooler plugs?

i did the 1.9's and shifts around 6100 rpm at WOT, been fine for over a year. zzp recommends nothing about 6200 rpm without changing the springs. grats on the mods, should pull great for you!
