Default Oil sensor? check engine light?

My 2007 SS check engine light popped on and the code came up oil sensor. I know at the time I needed a oil change, so I changed it with syn blend oil, but light hasn't popped off. I was wondering if i should clear the code and then see if it pops up or...whether I should pay the dealer 100 to fix it. Not sure where the sensor is on these to replace it.

I have to believe that you should change the sensor,,, the light came on for a reason.
If it's the oil level/temperature sensor then its on the bottom of the oil pan. GM part number 12603780

If it's the OIL PRESSURE SENSOR then it's on the lower intake manifold. GM part number 12616646
Hope that helps.

ok...the oil pressure sensor is located just behind the throttle body on the lower manifold. A tech here said it requires a oil pressure socket to get off...but other then that its remove the old sensor and install the new one.
I know that's pretty vague but im a parts guy not a tech lol..
Do you have an email, I can send some pics to ya.
