Default Oil pressure sensor blown out 3rd time

My Oil pressure sensor has blown out for the 3rd time in less than a year. Mechanics I have spoken to are stummped. 2001 SS 3800. I am losing a little coolant, can't find a leak. Some water buildup in the oil cap and PCV valve, but NONE in the oil pan. I only drive the car 5-10 miles at a time. Any ideas about what is going on here?

It definitely sounds like an upper/lower intake gasket issue.... To much crankcase pressure would be my guess....

Since you mentioned theres sign of water on the oil filler cap.... That's a dead giveaway that coolant is leaking into the oil.

Have you ever had upper and lower intake gaskets done? if not... With that kinda mileage Its way past due... Usually around 80,000 to 120,000 is usually the Max mileage for the plastic Uim,Lim gaskets. It also may be a wee bit melted by the PCV pipe.. causeing the leakage... Its a very common issue on the 3800's. Driving 10 to 12 miles daily is a not good for any motor... Things don't truly get a chance to warm up properly thus causeing a variety of issue.... My wife use to drive my monte 12 miles to and from work everyday.... Talk about things happening that you didn't expect...LOL Uppers.lower intake, exhaust systems etc etc....

Good luck hope this helps...
I'm sure someone else will chime in with more help.
