Oil Pan Rusted out

Oil Pan Rusted out
Has anyone ever had this problem? I noticed an oil leak coming from my engine last week and came to find out it was because my oil pan was rusted through. Not just in one spot either, the whole thing is rusty. Also does anyone know the best way to remove and install the oil pan from my car? The clearance does not seem to be there, do I need to jack up the engine?

RE: Oil Pan Rusted out
Everytime I changedthe oil onmy car I could see the oil pan rusty and getworse everytime.Came to find out that Ichipped 2 pistons on my car 3 months ago so I ended up pulling the motor out. I do think that you can jack the motor up if you take the engine mount loose at the bottom of it (left lower mount) I took a sand disc to mine and cleaned it to the best of my ability and painted it, but if yours is to the point of leaking oil, I'd suggest that you get one at Advance Auto Parts, they can get one for like 60-80 bucks if I remmember it right

pan's aren't as good as they used to be, the manufacturers realized they were making them too good, and people never had to replace them, i know this sounds bad, but they started making them worse and worse so that they sell more of them

RE: Oil Pan Rusted out
I got my oil pan changed, it was fun... I had to jack up the motor and take loose the passanger motor mount. I got the oil pan from O'rielly auto parts and it was $80. It was a hassle but was a lot cheaper than it would have been to bring it in.
