oil

just bought a 03 ss with 60000 miles on it,getting ready to change the oil what should i use.thinking of using 5/30 bmw full synthetic,i can get it cheap thanks.

I swear by Castrol GTX High Mileage. It's a very clear mineral oil, but has near synthetic qualities. I can usually find it on sale for $16 per 4.4L (a little over a gallon). Regular price is around $21-23 per jug.

I run Mobile 1, and have had great success with it...

there's a reason that GM has all stock LS1 motors coming off the line with it... =)

Your a little too far along in the life of the engine to switch to synthetic now. You might find some new leaksif you switch to a synthetic.Stick to conventional oil.
