580whp!?!?! That's some crazy power out of these engines with the right mods.

One thing I learned form watching other people..... Beating the guy next to you 90% of the time comes down to who has deeper pockets.... The other 10% is either knowing what to do yourself or who to hand the car off to....

 

Yep, local guy here (mtsman on GP/Regal forums) put down 550 WHP in his turbo 3800- took me for a ride in it- yes, it is very fast.

I wouldn't get the upgraded turbo...

You need to get the downpipe- cat'd if you live in an emissions state, non-cat'd if you don't.

You will want to add the air to air front mount intercooler if you want to make good power.

You will want to add the boost controller.

I think that's about it...would make for a killer setup.

Sidenote here.. Anyone ever see that turbo'd 3800 that is also supercharged?? Hes got the vid on youtube. If anyone can find the vid, PLEASE post it, I cant for the life of me find where it went.

 

There are quite a few twincharged (roots blower + turbo) 3800s out there- search Google Video for "twincharged Regal" or "twincharged GTP" to find a few.
