3 things:

dont do the swap unless you wanna sacrifice MPG for HP.

dont run rich or lean with the MAF sensor

what tint you putting on?

 

i want HP, forget MPG thats what a bike is for haha, i plan on getting a tuner and new injectors so i dont run either rich nor lean, just perfect, and i plan on getting either 20% or 15%...mainly 20% throughout even though its illegal in my town

 

If your sticking with your L36, get a High Velocity Throttle body, High ratio rockers, and a cold air intake to start with.

 

truthfull you can spend your life savings on that 3.1 and it wont touch a L67. for what you would waste on that engine you can save up and do the swap and be happier with that then u ever would be with the 3100

 

Hi honus. Welcome to the forum. I would listen to Chris (scc24540). He's done the engine mods on his Monte, including the L67 swap. You can spend all kinds of money just to get your 3.1 up to the power of a stock L67. You may as well save up the money and start with the L67, then mod from there as money comes available. JMHO.

 

yeah i plan on doing that now, i think i will be more pleased with the results, all i have to be is patient now with saving up. just another quick question would my cold air intake i have for my 3.1 fit on the L67? or would i need a new one right off the bat to begin with?...thanks for your replies once again.

 

ive never seen a true CAI for the 3.1, all ive seen are ram air intakes that suck in hot air. so unless you can fab one up your 3100 wont have one unless they have made one. but the l67 has everything made for it so id wait if i were u

 

I would just keep the LS in good running condition. If you don't plan on putting a supercharger in it then just wait and enjoy your LS till you get a newer Monte.
