Yes sir im doing the seal tomorrow at my father inlaws shop.. on a lift im 20 and still havent used a lift yet.. should be fun. doing a fulltune up on the motor. new filters,oil,coolant wires/plugs ect.. thanks for the help guys. next is a **** tone of body work. :/

Well... car was on the lift today.. had no idea howmuch rust i really had.. 4 body mounts.. rottted out.. 1 rear lower control arm.. rotted out. drivers sides floor pan rotted out both rear wheel wels are rotted out.. alot with both doors.. lol and my springs are saggin tons so somebody put some cheezy lift in there.. just alot of work.. geus i have to start little by little.. lets get the trans back in and running tho eh... post pic sn wat not soon

sounds like the common rust problems on gbodys in the north east. good news is that you dont have an oddball year like 78-80 so they make all the body panels and what not for it.just try not to dump too much money into a money pit. its probably cheaper to look for a same year old lady owned v6 body thats rust free all over and swapping your ss stuff to that. including the vin even though thats not exactly legal and probably looked down upon.

IF i had the money to fix all the body parts beleive me i would but im going to fix wat i can for now to make it driveable with out worrying bout falling threw the floor haha. just pulled the trany. got another turbo200 from a local junkyard. also found out today i need a new flex plate. missing a few teeth haha

you have a th200 really if i'm not mistaken most SS'S came with the 200r4 overdrive trans

Is it? i was told its a turbo 200.. yes its over drive.. and the new trans i got is over drive.. they had a 3 speed also.

the 3 speed th200 came in non ss monte carlo's and has METRIC on the trans pan , the pan is kinda square and the 200r4 is the 4spd auto that came in the ss's the pan is kind of funny looking,

....um weird.. my 4 speed trans that came in the car says metric on the pan.. same with the new 4 speed i just got....both say metric on it.. an yes the car is a REAL ss

could say metric on it never seen one myself, but your pan should look like #5

also wen't and looked went and confimed 85+ ss only came with the th2004r (my bad was thinking of it was put as 200r4 not 2004r)
