WOW, I have heard of "ticking" noises before with lifters, but yeah, I think you found the immediate problem... The million $ question is what caused it though...

Finally got her in the shop to get it looked at. She runs better now than when I bought her, and the diagnosis was: one of the dod lifters in cyl 6. The bottom half of it exploded and went into the oil pan. Had to replace the cam and other lifters and good as new. Thank you Engine Warehouse of Baton Rouge for a job well done. Repair came out to $2,500.
