Default MAF chips

Any one ever used those chips that splice into your IAT wires and supposed to help with fuel and HP. Let me know if you have used it or you haven't.

Please try to refrain from that language in posts also when requesting help.

Which chips are you talking about? The ones that you splice into your IAT do not really do much but lie to the PCM about the air temperature and make the PCM dump more or less fuel at the system depending on the Temp that you specify.

This is a poor solution, since you would be running the system rich (which can ruin sensors and fuel economy) or you could be running too lean, which would prevent the engine cylinders from being properly cooled by fuel and cause hot-spots.

I would stay away from anything that makes bold claims and costs < $50 or something that you find on eBay.

This should be a standard.

At least the question(s) are asked beforehand. That is what we are here for.
@ indiana3433 if you are interested in making any changes you may want to look at HPTuners. Another option is to send in your PCM to be re-flashed this is the less expensive and reliable. They will clean it up (safe) to the way it should of come from the factory IMO.
