Dual alternators complete
heres a little setup we built on my 01 LS.. basically cut the center motor mount off..
added another pully.. welded supports and thicker steel to help with the extra tension.. this pully in the picture is not the one we used in the end. we ended up with a 4inch pully because this one was making the belt slip on the power steering pump..
got it all lined up..
mock up for bracket.. this second alt is a actual monte carlo alt.. i could flip flop the two alts if i ever felt the need too..
hmm
all working and painted.. with additional custom lazer engraved fuse block
finished and looking pretty.. still minor things on the bracket need to be changed.. as in the Spacer and it needs a better bolt in the back
annnnd heres what its all needed for

Pretty neat. Glad you were able to make it come together. When there is no aftermarket kit for it, it can take a lot of time to figure out and fab something up like this.

thank you guys.
took one full day. had it torn down in the AM and i drove it home that night with both alts on it. ALOT of trial and error throughout the day.. the guy that built it is a genius. and a great fabricator..

Im going to guess that the red battery light comes on the dash when you go to 15.1v ? I drove it for the first time since I did all the wiring and I noticed the red light come up a few times.. I have multiple digital gauges but they are all reading off the rear battery bank and amps. And they arnt 100% accurate... anyone care to chime in id appreciate it..
