low engine idle

Default low engine idle

I have a 2001 ss n/a, I always noticed that my engine adles at around 500 rpm when it's warmed up. is that normal? or not?

no thats not normal... should be around 700-800. an old suburban we had got to where ti idled that low... replacing the spark plugs and wires brought it right up to 700-800 again. i'd say take a plug out and have a look at it.. theres charts online that can show you pictures of plugs and what it should look like, what it means if it looks like etc. and etc. if this isn't the problem, it's probably the idle control module (or whatever its calledo n this car).

Were is the Iac valve located? Also I ranned a obd reader on the car and it threw a P0410 code, I check it out and its the secondary air injected system. Is that the pump that's inside the driver side fender?
