Default a lot of help!

Hi everyone, I am relatively new to this forum, been leaching around reading odds and ends stuff and i finally got the courage to ask a simple question! Not much of a car guy so this question might sound a little dumb but I will ask it anyway.

Looking for little things that I can adjust/change/replace to improve everything about how my car runs, horsepower/torque anything! I am looking for simple and relatively cheap ideas to improve my car and honestly don't know the first thing about where to start.

Any help is greatly appreciated! I have an '03 monte ss with nothing more added but tint, speakers, and a dvd player. thanks in advance

Ryan

Hey Ryan welcome to MCF!!!

Start with a Cold Air or Fenderwell Intake. U-Bend delete or whole downpipe. Throttle Body, Tuner,Rockers, and then the rest of the exhaust.

A good place to start is www.zzperformance.com and www.3800performance.com. The first is more geared to racing they are tried and true pros. The 2nd has an easy navigateable site, great info and good deals as well.

hey, welcome to the site

if your looking for some cheap things to start with to make your car work better

do the exhaust upgrade
1. high flow cat
2. ubend delete
3. resonator delete
4. mufflers if you want to change them out (the first 3 are cheap to do...the mufflers are anywhere from 50-100 bucks each)

then you can do a cold air intake, you can make your own for cheap, but if you want an easy put in one get the k&n system (this will set you back about 250-300 bucks)

doing that will greatly help with the performance

with running better maybe do a tune up if its time and run a can of seafoam through it

Once I get home I'll post a link for you for an easy to make intake. You can get the parts from Home Depot.
