Smile Looking for Supercharger..

Hey Guys,

As many of you know as you have been assisting me with my project, I have a 00 Monte SS and jus put a Series II Engine out of an 07 GP in it. Before he finishes I want to put a supercharger in it! I need some recomendations for good sites to go to for a supercharger new or used for that ENGINE!

Thanks

search for top swap- learn all you can about how to do it; then go to clubgp's classified section in their forums, and buy the parts (or zzperformance or wbodystore and buy their kit if you absolutely must have it asap).

Shouldn't that GP have a series III in it?

Yeah, so most of the threads regarding top-swap will deal with the series II engine, and he's going to have to find all Series III stuff.

Since there was no Series III in the Montes, I'm not as familiar with that swap. But I assume you'll need all the heads and up from an L32?

I don't see why he couldn't do an L67 top swap, even on an L26. The only problem I see is the electronic throttle body and returnless fuel setup, but with his car being an 00 SS, I'd imagine the engine was reconfigured to run a return fuel system and a cable driven throttle body. I just don't see why you'd have to use L32 top end parts, since the bottom ends on the L26 and L36 are virtually the same anyways (at least as far as doing a top swap would go).

To the OP- I think we need more info (pics preferably) on the engine. As we said above, the 07 GP came with the L26- which is the series 3, not series 2 (they may have just reused the old engine cover). Can you give us any more info on the engine swap? Is your throttle body cable actuated, or electrical? Do you have 2 fuel lines?

See, I'm not too familiar with the swap

But I am curious as to why the OP thinks it's a Series II also.
