Default Looking for more power...any sugestions??

Hi I have a 04 SS. So far I have swapped in an L67, ZZP Headers and DP, Flowmaster 44 cat back set up, ZZP XP Cam, 130# springs, Comp Cam Hydraulic Lifters, 3.3 Supercharger Pulley, Double Roller Timing Chain, CAI, upgraded fuel pump and rewire kit, and Its all Been Dyno tuned. Made more power than it did but still not enough for me. It cost a lot to do all that and I was wondering if there was anything on the cheaper side that I can do to get more HP?

Thats a pretty full list. To make any more noticeable power I think you'll need to intercool. You can do things for little gains like electric water pump and HV throttle body - you won't likely notice a differnce with those now. Aside from intercooling, you'd be switching out to a turbo for more gains outta that engine.

If you were to throw an intercooler on, you'd be able to really drop down to a smaller pulley. What did your Monte dyno? It's a pretty cool Monte.

Unfortunately, you're at the point now that you're going to have to spend a bit of money to make more hp. Other then the intercooler you could swap the Gen 3 M90 to a Gen V, raise the compression with thinner head gaskets and p&p heads. If that's too much, then I would consider going turbo.

As it stands right now it made 254whp. That's right after putting it in. Each run gained a few extra as things got worked in. I know switching to a turbo would gain more but I personally don't like turbos(unless its twin charging). Guess the intercooler will be the next step then. Thanks for the input.

Yes I know what you mean. Before this car I had a 98 Avenger that that happened to. I have been looking into buying the ZZP performance trans. But I do know that the trans I have can handle a little over 300hp.

That thing sounds like a beast. Do you have any videos of it running. Like at the track or on the dyno? If so post them up we would love to see them.

x3 on the intercooling. if you can get that pulley size down to a 2.8 you will most likely be astonished.

But blocking off the m90 and doing a turbo would be costly but most likely have much better gains.

To be honest I haven't even heard it with the headers and smaller pulley on it yet. I live in Connecticut and its out in Michigan. I sent it to ZZP to have all this work done since I don't have a garage to do the work in. I should be getting it back next week and I will deff. post up some videos of it.

Wait, you have an XP cam and headers and you only have 254 WHP?
