Default L67 Swap Questions

Ok, I have a 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo SS with the 3800 Series II V6. I blew a head gasket and I want a supercharged 3800 Series II V6. I found a Guy on Craigslist with a 2004 Chevy Monte Carlo SS Supercharged with 111,000 miles. He said I can have everything for $1000 which includes engine, trans, wiring harness, pcm, axles.... He said he is going to drop the entire A frame so everything that comes with that. He also said I could have the instrument cluster..

Now my question, Is it a good deal, and is there anything else I would have to buy separately in order for it to work?

Have him start it before he takes it apart for you.

If it doesn't turn that's no big deal really, the bottom ends on the engine are transferable.

Ok, now is there anything else I need to buy other than fluids to get it running?

Nope, it might be easier to slip on some headers while you have the whole frame out, you wont regret it.

If you have the engine out, you want to tear it down and redo all the gaskets.

Not too bad of a deal really. You could probably do better, especially on mileage- but not a ton, and may not be worth the wait. The upside is you'll know for sure you have all the parts you need to make it work, so you won't be having to hunt for anything.
